Soldotna Senior Center
Soldotna Area Senior Citizens, Inc., (SASCI) was incorporated in 1986 to provide Nutrition, Transportation and Support programs and services for Soldotna, Funny River and ¾ of Ridgeway senior citizens as recognized by the Kenai Peninsula Borough, Alaska Department of Health & Social Services, Alaska Commission on Aging, City of Soldotna, Kenai Peninsula United Way and other agencies. Programs and Services are provided for seniors age 60 years and older, with priority is given to the frail elderly, low income, minority and outlying seniors. SASC provides programs and services including Congregate Meals, Home Delivered Meals, on demand unassisted transportation, Information, Support Services, Activities, Wellness Clinics and Independent Housing. SASC is administrator for the Kenai Peninsula Family Caregiver Support Services grant program for the Kenai Peninsula and villages of Seldovia, Tyonek, Pt. Graham and Nanwalek. KPFCSP provides services for family caregivers taking care of loved ones, including Information & Referrals, Support Groups, Training, Education, One to One Counseling, Respite, and other supplemental services.
