Event Description:
This class is an overview and introduction to the basics of carpentry. This class is for women who want to learn about tools and completion of household projects, practice in designing and building a small project. Measuring, cutting fastening and finishing will be emphasized. Keon Mostofi is an outdoor/environmental educator and co-director of the Homer Folk School. He also has extensive experience in carpentry from remodeling rentals to renovating cabins using recycled materials. He is excited to share his love of carpentry through hands on instruction with the Homer Folk School.
